In this episode of Fish On Air, Mati and Dom dive into the world’s greatest forest, the Amazon, and explore why its survival matters for every person on the planet. After their usual mix of yapping, segment-one good-news stories about kelp forest restoration, newly discovered deep-sea corals, and 112-million-year-old amber fossils, they shift into a deep discussion about forests, climate, biodiversity, and the global consequences of deforestation. Finally, the hosts welcome Alexandra Gómez, Communications Director for WWF Colombia, who has spent decades shaping conservation strategies across Latin America. She joins the show to break down the Amazon’s importance, the threats it faces, and how young people and everyday citizens can take meaningful action to protect one of Earth’s most vital ecosystems.
